Former Chief of the LCO Band of Lake Superior Ojibway, Rick StGermaine will lead the service at Blue Hills Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in honor of the Spring Equinox, Sunday morning March 22nd. As we relish the arrival of mellower weather, StGermaine will share with us tribal history and some of their rituals and music.
Relating that “Most tribes have celebrations for the changing of the seasons, with traditional ceremonies and fabulous music,” Rick notes that “both soil-based and hunting-gathering tribes recognize these seasonal changes.”
