Waldo Asp delves into the timelessness of Nordic myths; of how they reflect what we believe to be true, and how myths have and will continue to facilitate our predictions for the future, especially for those discovering the planet and cosmos.

Fifth-grader Rena Curtis will explore the First UU Principle in “The War that Saved My Life.” Taking place in London during WWII, the 10 year old hero of the story is in constant conflict with her own inherent worth and dignity. The lessons she and those around her learn throughout the story are both empowering and inspiring.

As always, wholesome food, hot coffee, and enlightening conversation will be had at our third Sunday potluck!
As the board meeting on the 8th was cancelled, we will be meeting on the 15th instead. All are welcome to attend.
We will watch and discuss “Thoreau at Walden and Beyond,” learning of the life of Henry David Thoreau and also his lasting impact on culture, education, and politics.
Bob Hasman will lead a service to help us realize that refugees of all kinds are living in our communities, and that we have the power to help them socially, economically, and politically.
The Blue Hills UU Fellowship will welcome 2017 with New Year Meditations on Sunday, January 1st at 10:30 am. (There will be no forum.)

The beloved Music and Poetry Sunday will be the service on January 15th, where all are welcome to bring their favorite poems and hymns to be shared and sung together.
On the 22nd and 29th, those who attended the “Love Reaches Out” workshop will give a forum inviting the entire congregation to help expand on the Blue Hills UU vision and create goals both internally and for our communities.
Join us for our Christmas celebration at 10:30 (there will be no forum) on Sunday the 25th. All are welcome for delicious treats and good times!
