We welcome back Duluth UU minister Rev. Susanne Wasilczuk for a service entitled, “What’s an Atheist doing in a Pew?” She will address an issue that many of us have pondered: what Godless spirituality could look like and even offer in modern times. You can find out more about BHUU by visiting our website at BlueHillsUU.org.

We will be discussing ideas and forum topics for the upcoming Wednesday evening forums starting in January
Brian Rude will be giving a service on how to keep the peace and asking questions like “is it really necessary for us to keep the peace?” Hint: his answer is yes and he will be explaining why he thinks so.
Come join the potluck fun and bring some food if you can 🙂
Valerie Rude will recount her tour of the Northern Plains. Through lectures given by members of the Crow and Oglala Lakota Nations, Valerie learned of the Native American perspective of events occuring at sites such as Little Bighorn and Wounded Knee.
Guest speaker Jacob Greutzman will delve into the Power of Love. Although love, compassion, and trust are often seen as weaknesses, they do in fact require a great deal of strength and resolve. In light of everything from ancient gods to modern struggles, we will see love as a unifying force that is the foundation of so many faiths.
And good company We hope to see you there!
Linda Thompson will be leading the discussion topic
Dennis Peters, a student at the United Theological Seminary in New Brighton, will give a brief introduction on who we are with respect to gender and sex, what LGBTQIA+ communities in need of support look like, and some ways we can make a difference. We hope to see you at the UU! Visit BlueHillsUU.org for more information.

Linda Thompson will have two focus topics: “Love Resists”, a response to Charlottesville events and the “Wonder of the Eclipse”. Somber and joyful. That’s life, right? The service will include the chalice lighting, welcome and announcements, joys and concerns, reading the 7 principles, music and song, and speaking for social action.
As always, wholesome food, hot coffee, and enlightening conversation will be had at our third Sunday potluck! Bring a dish to pass if you please ????
